A mountain tour at sunrise is always a special experience. In the magical light of dawn, the world seems completely different. ...and at the latest when the first rays of sunlight illuminate the surrounding mountain peaks, you realise that getting up early was worth it.

A tour to the Rauhenkopf (2,266 m) is perfect for those who want to experience this magical atmosphere for the first time - short, crisp climb with great panoramic views. Via the Zillertaler Höhenstraße, take the car to the starting point of the hike: Jausenstation Melchboden. From here a path leads steeply up in serpentines. You reach the first small peak (Arbiskopf, 2,133 m) after about 20 minutes. The path continues flat along the ridge until the final ascent, which leads to the summit with a little scrambling. At the top, the magnificent play of colours at dawn is already waiting.
Despite the fresh mountain air and great tiredness, you will never forget the feeling of the sun awakening the mountains. The atmosphere and tranquillity allow you to immerse yourself even more in nature and enjoy it.
