Zillertal Super Ski Pass (valid in the entire Zillertal valley)

Whether it's grooming the slopes, making snow, or moving lift supports: technical masterpieces are achieved every day on the Hintertux Glacier. As part of exclusive guided tours, guests have the unique opportunity to take a look behind the scenes at the Hintertux Glacier and the enormous technology that makes mountain fun possible 365 days a year.

Meeting point
& start

The meeting point is at 1:00 p.m. at the top station of the Gletscherbus 2 with an operations manager from the Zillertaler Gletscherbahn. The tour starts at the Glacier Bus 3, which is one of the most spectacular cable cars in the Alps due to its extreme geographical location and is also the highest double cable car in the world.

The world of
snow production

The second stop takes you to the pumping station, where you can learn lots of interesting facts about the complex system of artificial snow production. Among other things, you will find out what artificial snow is made of, when it is produced, and where the water needed for this comes from. From there, you can take a comfortable ride back to the Tuxer Fernerhaus on a snowcat.

Pistenbully
workshop

For many guests, a visit to the Pistenbully workshop, the third stop on the tour, is an absolute highlight. Here, the 600 hp machines are serviced 365 days a year. After 90 minutes, the technical tour ends at the Tuxer Fernerhaus.
