Bakehouse gets its own editor ?

Others fly to the moon. We’ve built our own WYSIWYG editor.

From now on, TinyMCE – the long-standing, externally hosted editing tool – is being replaced by the BhEditor in all Bakehouse projects. The BhEditor is a fully in-house development: leaner, faster and entirely under our control.

What this means in concrete terms: 6× less data, 13× fewer server requests when loading the backend, and no more external provider we’re dependent on.

For content editors, the operation remains largely unchanged – the editor looks familiar and works as usual. What has improved noticeably: copy & paste from Word or other sources. The BhEditor is now active in content elements, news subtexts and the ski area manager.

The cache is now cleared specifically when a news entry is modified – visitors will see changes immediately from now on
Fixed an internal error that could occur when deleting translated files

Security fix: clickable links could previously be injected into notification emails via contact forms – this is now fixed

The “Skip to search” skip link is no longer displayed if a page contains no search function

Bakehouse Booking

Massive performance improvement: database traffic reduced from around 470 GB/day to under 100 GB/day – availability queries now run significantly faster
Prices in dynamic pricing plans now update immediately when occupancy or travel dates are changed – previously, the displayed price could sometimes freeze

Media-Cake

Failed video conversions are now correctly marked as “failed” instead of the process hanging silently
Aspect ratio of video thumbnails normalised – consistently 1:1 like other images
The category filter in Media-Cake had a bug that caused a 500 error page

Social Wall

Accounts that fail to synchronise five times in a row are automatically deactivated
