Autumn
December - April
How to get to the
training ground
You can get to the training lift for beginners at the Gletscherboden from the top of 10er Gefrorenrene Wand. In order to get there you can use Gletscherbus 1 and 2 and afterwards the 10er Gefrorene Wand.
Practice lift
Gletscherboden
To get there, take the 10er Gefrorene Wand lift to the mountain station. From there, a shuttle service to the practice area and back is available on request for absolute beginners. If you need the practice lift, please contact us in advance or book a ski instructor. We will then organize everything else for you.
Take blue slopes
where possible
Once you feel confident on the practice slopes, we recommend moving on to blue runs, for example at the Olperer T-bar lifts. These are ideal for taking your first turns away from the practice area.
How to get to the
training ground
You can get to the training area near Sommerberg by taking either the Gletscherbus 1 mountain railway or the 8er Sommerberg from the valley station.

near Sommerberg
Once you are on the mountain station of the first mountain railway, you go straight and find the funny express to your right after passing the Sommerberg restaurant. You go up there and find a flat area to get a feel for your skies or board.

Take blue slopes
where possible
Once you have gathered your first experiences, you can improve your skills on the blue slopes (easiest slope category). We recommend you to move next to the Ramsmoos lift. Once you are ready, the next step would be the blue slopes at the 4er Tuxerjoch.
Ski School
Make your first turns safely
We recommend booking a ski or snowboard instructor for your first turns. The Skischule Tuxertal has several offices on the Hintertux Glacier. Just drop by or give them a call!
